About PlayTambola.Live
Gather. Play. Laugh.
PlayTambola.Live brings the warmth of family tambola nights to a big screen and everyone’s phone. One host runs the game; everyone else plays along — no app to install, just a game code or a QR scan.
Our story
Born at GT Connect 2026. Kept alive by an encore.
PlayTambola.Live didn’t begin in a boardroom. It began with our own people — and the moment they wouldn’t let the game end.
“We planned one game. The room asked for an encore.”
The day before GT Connect 2026
Built in-house, for our own people
Our engineering team built PlayTambola.Live entirely in-house, just in time for GT Connect — Guava Trees Softech’s annual event. It had one purpose: pure entertainment, and a first-hand taste of our apps for our employees, stakeholders and their families.
At the event
One game, as planned
The plan was simple: a single game on the big screen, with every attendee joining from their own phone.
Then the room spoke
“One more round!”
People enjoyed it so much that we hosted a second game by popular demand — and they were still asking for another round when time ran out.
The month that followed
The event ended. The tambola didn’t.
It stayed the talk of the office and of our Instagram feed for the whole month after.
That was our wow moment.
Watching people fall for something we built — and ask for more of it — gave us the confidence to share it with everyone. So we turned that one evening’s game into a full-fledged, feature-rich, secure and robust platform for corporate events, communities and anyone who loves the classic.
It’s the tambola you grew up with, reimagined for the AI era: fully digital, fair by design, with a caller whose witty one-liners about every number are generated by AI. Now it’s ready for your crowd.
Why it exists
Tambola is about the room, not the paperwork
Tambola — housie to many — is the game that brings a whole room together: a society hall at Diwali, a family function, a club night. But the classic version comes with chores. Someone prints and hands out tickets, someone calls numbers until their voice goes, and someone has to settle the argument when two people shout “Full House!” at once.
PlayTambola.Live keeps the fun and hands the chores to software. The server generates every ticket, calls every number and checks every win, while the big screen speaks each call aloud with a witty caller line and celebrates every winner. The host gets to enjoy the evening instead of refereeing it.
